Classes Offered  

TUNISIAN CROCHET:

1. What IS Tunisian Crochet?
   
   An introduction to this fascinating craft, that is a
   marriage of knitting and crochet which produces a
   wonderful woven fabric. Julia will bring samples of
   her work, and students will learn the basic stitch and
   colour inlay. 3 hours




2. Beginners¹ Tunisian Crochet
   
   Students will learn the basic Tunisian Crochet stitch;
   they will complete a small project which will teach
   them how to inlay colours . Some knowledge
   of knitting and crochet an asset. 3 hours




3. Intermediate Tunisian Crochet
   
   Students will complete a sampler incorporating colour
   inlay, beads and bobbles. Some knowledge of
   knitting and crochet is necessary. 6 hours




4. Stained Glass in Tunisian Crochet
   
   Students will complete a sampler which gives the
   appearance of stained glass, incorporating colour inlay.
   Some experience with Tunisian crochet is necessary.
   3 or 6 hours

SWEATER DESIGN FOR DUMMIES

The participants will learn to design their own sweater by adapting existing patterns. They will learn how to use different stitch patterns, incorporate intarsia designs and/or beads, change necklines etc. 2 hours.

A maximum of 15 students.


FANCY KNITTED RIBBINGS AND EDGINGS

Students will learn to add pizzaz to their garments with fancy knitted ribbings and edgings. 2 hours.

A maximum of 12 students.


CROCHETED EDGINGS FOR KNITTED GARMENTS

Students will learn a variety of crocheted edgings for their knitted garments. The will also learn the joy of crocheted button bands. 3 hours

A maximum of 12 students.


TRUNK SHOW

Julia will give an introductory talk on the history of Tunisian crochet, how she got started, and her journey through the exciting world of discovery and colour. 1 hour
